Two decades of combined experience in K-12 finance and analytics.

Kent Bond believes every district deserves analytics that illuminate the path forward, not complicate it. That belief fuels his work at BONDWOOD, where he combines two decades of analytic leadership with a deep commitment to helping K12 teams make confident, data-informed decisions.
Kent currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer at the University of Wisconsin–Green Bay, stewarding a budget of more than 300 million dollars and leading major initiatives in automation, digital transformation, and operational improvement.
Before co-founding BONDWOOD, Kent spent years driving innovation at Wells Fargo where he led high-performing analytics teams. His team's work focused on creating enterprise reporting systems, automated testing across billions of transactions, and operational scorecards.
A lifelong student of process automation and a proud data nerd, Kent is an expert in SQL and Tableau, a CPA, and holds both a Finance degree and an MBA from the Carlson School of Management.
At BONDWOOD, Kent's mission is simple: deliver analytics that help districts see what matters, understand their story, and confidently shape the future for their students and communities.

Mert Woodard believes school district leaders deserve financial systems and analytics that clarify decisions rather than complicate them. That belief led him to co-found BONDWOOD, where he brings firsthand district leadership experience to building practical analytics for K–12 finance teams.
Mert serves as CFO and Director of Finance & Operations for Edina Public Schools, a suburban district serving approximately 9,000 students near Minneapolis. He oversees finance and accounting, facilities management, nutrition services, and pupil transportation, and leads long-range financial planning, capital projects, and operational performance.
Previously, Mert served as Director of Finance for Wayzata Public Schools and as Controller and Manager of Accounting and Finance for Minneapolis Public Schools, supporting complex budgeting, collective bargaining cost modeling, capital financing, and board-level decision-making.
Mert holds a Bachelor of Science in Business from the University of Minnesota's Carlson School of Management with a double major in finance and accounting. He is a Certified Administrator of School Finance and Operations® (SFO®) and a Certified Government Financial Manager® (CGFM®).
Beyond his district role, Mert serves as Vice President of MASBO and on the board of MNTrust. At BONDWOOD, he ensures analytics are built from the district perspective, grounded in real workflows and clear, defensible financial insight leaders can trust.
